Program OverviewYoungstown City’s Park and Recreation Department offers the Summer Day Camp at no cost to children from ages 5 to 17. The camp runs June 17 through August 12 at seven different park locations: Crandall Park, Lynn Park, Glenwood Park, Homestead Park, John White Park, Wick Park, and MVSD.
The camp opens at 10 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m Monday through Friday. During this time, children are fed free breakfast and lunch. Also, educational time and various activities take place. On certain days, kids have the chance to travel to different field trips and t participate in various sport tournaments. |

She met with the park supervisors daily to give them paperwork and schedule that had to be relayed to the park directors. Any problems within the parks with the child, Tiffany handled them. She also dealt with the hiring process of each supervisor and director. Park Supervisor Contact Information: Angela Duckett 330.942.4737 [email protected] As park supervisor, Angela was to oversee three of the seven parks that were being used in this day camp program. She had to ensure all parks were clean and all directors were doing their job. She also had to ensure that on tournament days and field trip days, all kids were accounted for and the correct procedures were being executed by the directors. Hours: Monday - Friday 10a.m. - 5p.m. Duties: • Feed the kids daily, breakfast and lunch • Take them on various field trips and tournaments • Educate them with various activities • Keep the park clean Goals of Program: • Keep underprivileged kids out of trouble • Open their eyes to different opportunities • Feed them well • Help to make new friends • Help them to have a productive summer |
